Luke Director of Business Development Brenda Senior Vice President of Sales Safik Account Manager Tatiana Territory Manager Luke Director of Business Development, St. Louis, Missouri G rowing up a few hours outside of St. Louis, Missouri, Luke always knew a career in sales was in his future. âSales is always something Iâve seen myself doing,â says Luke. âI get a rush from it.â Luke started his career in business to business home good sales, finding his way to FE in 2015. While Luke has always loved what it takes to âdoâ sales, he says FE provides the right environment to succeed. âThe training and the culture at FE are great, and it starts from the top leadership team down to management. Expectations are ambitious but reasonable, which allows for a work life balance. Leadership gives me the tools necessary to do well.â Starting as a sales rep, Luke grew into a role in sales management and is currently working as a business development manager. âThe most rewarding thing in my job is anytime you see growth in people. I recently finished training someone whoâd had a hard month and he called me when I was at the airport about to leave town to say, âI just did what you taught me, and it worked.â That transfer of knowledge and skills is very rewarding. FE provides the environment for me to better myself and go out and execute and help others.â Luke says to be successful at FE, new reps need to be willing to buy into and adapt to the system that is in place. âWe have thought this process outâthe way we go about attacking things. The tools are there to succeed. You just need to put yourself in the companyâs hands,â Luke says. Close Brenda Senior Vice President of Sales, Dallas, Tx M y degree was in marketing, and I never saw myself in a sales role, but I took a chance and havenât looked back. By the end of my first year, I was training people in my own territory and had started on a leadership path. By my third year, I was managing a small group of reps in Oklahoma and Kansas, while still maintaining my own sales territory. Coming from a background of retail, where I worked weekends, holidays, nights, you name it, Chemsearch provided a much better work-life balance. My customersâ schedules were normal, 9 to 5. The day started at a reasonable time, so I was able to drop off my daughter at daycare and pick her up at reasonable time. As she got older, I could balance my schedule so that I was a part of things like school events and soccer practice. I could build my schedule around what I needed to do. Now that my daughter is grown, I have been able to focus fully on my career, and my trajectory has not let up. FE has provided me with an unlimited opportunity to learn and develop skills related to serving customers and reps. Close Safik Account Manager, Chicago, IL S pending time with family is a priority for me, and thatâs something I considered when I accepted the job with FE. The type of work I do with FE requires flexibility on the part of the individual, but at the same time the company and job are very flexible with regard to my family situation. The most rewarding part of my job is the friendships Iâve made. Iâve met some great people during the time Iâve been with FE. You never know who youâre going to meet. Just recently I ran into someone I went to high school with. Heâs now a chief engineer at a huge building in Chicago, and we were able to jump right into a conversation about high school. While Iâve always been in sales, selling for FE is different. Youâre given a territory and all the tools to do the job, but it can be overwhelming in the beginning. Once you get over that mental hurdle and follow the training youâve been given, you see the results come in. You donât need sales experience to do this job, you just need to have a hunger for knowledge. FE really knows what itâs doing; weâve been doing it for 100 years. The way we do things is unique.
